Um... Well it's probably been brought up before, but is anyone finding that play247 are eternally "processing" your orders?
I ordered two... well CDs... from them and they haven't sent them- I've been waiting for about two weeks...

All of my orders since the start of August have taken ages to go from processing to posted. about 11 discs so far. 5 of which went to processing last Wednesday and still have not been sent. I have emailed Play on Saturday but have still not had a reply. This is very out of character for Play, but if it continues I shall be forced to order elsewhere. Plays prices are undercut quite regularly now anyway.

Had this e-mail from Play yesterday
Due to restrictions on commercial flights, some of our customers
have experienced delays in receiving their region 1 DVDs. We expect
all outstanding orders to be delivered within the next 7 days.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

    I absolutely love play247!.

    WHY?

On average (ie not all!) there prices are amongst the cheapest, R1/R2. Saving me having to trawl other DVD sites trying to save 50p etc.

Their special offers are very very cheap,(check out there £7.99 Warner DVDs offer inc del).

Up to now, all ordered discs have shown up and in perfect condition etc.

Yes sometimes "order to del" does get delayed, but what the hell!. This is usually beyond their control.

I have tried plenty of other DVD suppliers and had varying service. So decided to stick with play. I also like the price you see is the price you pay, ie inc del/vat. That even means if customs grips you for vat on R1 over £18 orders etc. Just let play know for a refund.

BUT! like all companys their not perfect, and they can have their bad days/points!.

I had a feeling it was due to the happenings in the US. It doesn't explain why my delays occured before the tragedy. However, at the end of the day they are only films. I will continue to use Play as they have the best web site and not all other sites have accounts to show you what you've ordered. I still use Movietyme and Future Entertainment for some titles Play don't stock. The region 2 prices with Play are among the best, but they are still region 2. I've ordered some and have been put off by others as the reion 1 versions are better. Come on Play, how about some region 1 deals!

I agree with Fulabeer, no problems whatsoever with their service. If you need to you can phone them and they always take time to deal with your query. Play 247 take some beating.

I am nothing but pleased with play. If there is a disc i want in particular, they always get my order! They are fast and friendly and do nothing other than their best to help.

Again I have also found Play excellent! On only one occassion did a disc not turn up so I phoned them and they despatched another straight away.

I have had problems with Future entertainment when on two occassions they debited my account and sent me discs I didn't order!
However when I have actually ordered from them the service has generally been very good.

I am also a very pleased customer with play for the last couple of years with only one misshap, I ordered ST Generations r2 it vanished so I contacted The Royal Mail and Play, The Royal Mail refunded my money for the lost dvd and play sent me a replacement copy free of charge, so I ended up getting it for nothing
