Play Order Status query....

    Sorry can't help you with the status but Play seem to be taking an awful long time to ship items at the moment.

    I ordered a couple of bits which claimed to be in stock 10 days ago and it's still showing PACKING status since then. THe item that was out of stock when I placed the order arrived yesterday !!.

    Some had mentioned a computer problem going on at Play so maybe its a temporary status until they have it all sorted out

    if you email and ask your probably get a canned message back that in no way helps you... at least thats what I had, come on Play sort it out!

    Not sure about current issues (I ordered a DVD this week that shipped 2 days later), but the few times I've had issues with Play, I've gotten great customer service by calling them.

    Watch your bank accounts as well at the moment.
    Got a couple of discs last week for about £20 & was debited £350 :eek:
    Supposed to be recredited today.

    I am getting e mails off play saying my orders have been posted. these orders were Pre orders placed a while ago. however, on my account page it says Order placed rather than sent???????

    any ideas

    Could it be (guessing) that the RS stands for "Returned [to] Sender" - i.e. postie could n't find your address & sent it back?

    I've never had that on my (very many) orders from Play, but their cust service is pretty good, email replies come thru within a couple of days at worst, in my experience.

    Count yourself lucky mate! I've been using Play for about 5 years now, and I've never had e-mailed shipping confirmations off them!

    There is a problem with their computers I think. I tried to cancel an order and it kept giving an error message saying to refresh the page. Needless to say that didn't work, so will give them 24 hours to answer e-mail, then I'll have to ring them. :(

    Can't otherwise fault them though. Their prices are still good, especially for CDs, and deliveries have always been fast for me.
