play my own music while playing a game ?

is it possible to play my own choice of music from some i have stored on the ps3 while playing a game ?
i know i can do this on xbox but i cannot do it on ps3 it keeps saying i would have to quit game to play music.
seems fairly straight forward so am assuming it is there somewhere amongst the vast ammount of settings.

I dont think its possible to do at the moment, maybe in the future.........

I know Killzone 2 use to support this whilst playing online as well as wipe out but I think that is about it.

It's not possible only some games you can do it

There are quite a number of games that it can be done on, Burnout Paradise is another one. The devs need to decide to implement it into the game, as opposed to xbox where it's across the board.
