This really is an amazing sale. Just ordered 10 titles. Fear and Desire (new release Masters of Cinema) is £6.99!

Also worth checking stuff via search. Elephant Man digibook is £8.49 and not in the sale bit, nearly bought that last week for twice the price!

If there's one site I despise it's HUKD. No doubt millions of copies of each of these titles will be appearing on eBay in the next few days. Great prices though, I'm going to miss Play.com :(

i agree. I don't know about bigry, but i was watching the oscars and browsing and spotted them - first thought was get them on here and give us a chance (the people who are genuinely interested in the films) before the HUKD lot bleed the place dry

managed to get something like 11/12 orders in (steels, box set and master of cinema stuff at low prices). they are now appearing on HUKD now, so things are going quickly

annoying that the warners steels have dropped but the paramount ones are still high. i'm still hoping for a reduction in the godfather steelbook set which is stubbornly stuck at £24.79

the problem with the warner steels is that they are all single discs whereas a lot of the amaray releases are two disc so you're losing out on the extras. certainly in the case of gone with the wind and dr zhivago. and casablanca is not the 70th anniversary remastered bluray as far as i'm aware. annoying really

Anyone know what transfers the Rambo's will be? Interested in all three but hasn't there been newer, better releases recently?

Went for Sherlock, How I spent my Summer Vacation, and Cowboys and Aliens. Not bad for £13 ish in playfunds.

Nearly went for Lockout, but an EiV title has to be cheaper than that.

Me too, but I don't think the price will drop and soon one day they'll be sold out ....The million dollar question is do I bite @ £24.79 or risk it?

So far gone for Clint Eastwood collection, Ice Age 4 and The Tourist.

Went back for Red Tails. I've had a need to watch poor films over the last few weeks.

Went a bit mad on this one. Thought about getting The Elephant Man digibook (£8.49) or Battleship Potemkin (£7.19), but settled with:

    Alice: Dual Format Edition (2 Discs) (Blu-ray) - £5.19
Harakiri: Dual Format Edition (With DVD) (2 Discs) (Blu-ray) - £6.69
The House Of The Devil (Blu-Ray) - £3.69
    Fear And Desire (Blu-Ray) - £6.99
    North By Northwest (Steelbook Blu-Ray) - £6.29
    Donnie Darko / Donnie Darko Director's Cut (2 Disc Blu-Ray) - £6.19
    Santa Sangre (Blu-Ray) - £4.99
Nostalgia For The Light (DVD) - £3.79

    Overall spend: £43.82
Saved (compared to prices now on Play.com): around £50?

    not bad!

A great sale. I dipped my toe in over breakfast for three and then went back just before lunch for another three:

    Maltese Falcon steelbook £8.19
    Streetcar Named desire steelbook £6.49
    Evil Dead 2 £5.99
Led Zeppelin Celebration Day (BD + 2CD) £7.49
    Titfield Thunderbolt £10.49
True Grit/No Country for Old Men double pack £7.49

Was holding out for a steelbook of Evil Dead 2 so fully expect that to be announced in the next few days now that I've plumped for an amaray!

Nearly spent £15 on the Led Zep BD a couple of weeks ago so am chuffed to get it at half the price.

Thanks for the heads up. Blimey, not a lot left now.

Got The Dictator, Bourne Legacy and Expendables 2, missed out on Hotel Transylvania, Amazing Spider-man and Cowboys & Aliens though.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, worth a punt at £8.99?

How annoying. I checked House Season 8 an hour ago and it was still £18. I just got a price drop email for £10 and now it is out of stock.

That's odd. I was sure play.com had stock in at £18 and not a third party seller at lunchtime. It was not in their sale page so I assumed it was just the regular price.
