Plastering Quote

Hi everyone

Just got a quote from a family friend (only met him when he did my mums wall) he does this as a side job so not a full time plasterer.

2 Artex celings 3.3m*3.3 each
1 wall 3.6x2.2m (wxh)
1 wall 7m x 2.2m (wxh)
2 chimney breasts inc alcoves approx 2.3x2.2m (wxh)
Plaster in a door (been blocked up/plasterboard)


Been quoted £550 not inc materials.

id had thought you could get a plasterer for that much my plaster charged me 180 for a day for him and his lad, they dot and dabbed 2 walls and fixed plaster board to 2 stud walls and skimmed in a day to give you a idea of what you can get for your money

I would expect it to be about £200 a day as peterlea has said. A skilled plasterer wouldn't take long to do a few rooms.

We've just had two similar sized Artexed ceilings sealed and skimmed, cost was £120 inc materials and it took around 5 hrs. I would compare with quotes from local plasterers, or a site such as mybuilder.com

i suppose it depends on the area of the country you are in as trademen's prices can vary
