    Dear all,

A colleague at work was telling me a couple of interesting things about plasmas as we were discussing how we each wanted one!

Firstly, they cant be air shipped as the gas can expand and damage the cells.

Secondly they cant be transported flat, as that will damage the panel, and that the crates come with a tiny mercury level to indicate if they have been tilted. If they have, then the store wont even take delivery of them.

Is this urban legend or is there any truth behind it?

Certainly the second part about transporting them upright is correct. If you lie them flat, the glass can get damaged easily.
