Hi, first of all sorry I'm a total noob when it comes to plasma tv's ;)

Does plasma tv's need to have specifically tailored stands to support them like the Alphason's or can you use other stands that are built for say 32" CRT's (I'm not talking about the cheap stands you can pick up at various catalogue shops I'm talking very sturdy stands.)

    Thanks for your help

You can use most stands, as plasma'a are quite light and as long as the plasma has a desk top stand.....a lot lighter than most CRT's.

Think quite a few people use glass stands.
    I use this one.
I think it looks nice and puts the screen at a nice hight, but not to high for my room.

Thank you, I am going to purchase a glass stand in time but due to cost issues I really cant afford to pay out 100's for a stand so I thought I could use my current stand for the time being.

    Thanks again

Does anyone know of a good, smallish stand (widthwise) with wheels on?

My apologies, it was index (the missus bought it)
I was going to give you a link, but they've now closed.

Pity, it's a nice stand too.
