Both have advantages and disadvantages that means it comes down to personal choice. At the Event II, where calibrated examples of each were sat side by side, preference was split.

You need to go to a good retailer and see them both. I'd recommend Joe Fernand if you live in the North (I travelled from Newcastle up to his place near Edinburgh). AV Sales also seem to be knowledgeable and may be worth visiting if you live in the South.

    Cheers,

Well Panasonic it is then, as Pioneer only do a 43" one! ;)

Seriously though, lmccauley is right.. you need to demo them, it is a personal preference thing.

Although one thing being, i don't think Panasonic do an HD display with built-in/attachable speakers, if you really must have them.

Thanks guys, I found out that the Pioneer speakers are finished in silver! They look really odd next to the black finish of the plasma. (which I quite like)

    Stoopid, Stoopid, Pioneer.

    I'll get a demo.

    Thanks.
