hi, with the price of plasma's falling does anyone know how long it is before they start to loose picture quality,
    has anyone had any experiences,
i was tempted to buy a budget 42" one for about £2000 or so but was put off when told that they have a short life span and start degrading in quality.
is this a pitch by sales people to push us into buying lcd?
ps: i think some of the budjet ones have great picture quality!
pss: are they good for pc gaming? any experiences?

The problem with a 2k screen is not how fast it wears out but the fact that it's no good to start with.

Interesting that the average TV viewing time is 17 hours per week giving a lifespan of 30 years. With a wife who is a lady of leisure and young kids I reckon my TV's on more like 12 hours a day - still 6 years though, it would have been relegated to the kids room by then:D so life span can not be thought to be a problem.
