Plasma Power Consumption?

From your experience, whats the power consumption like on plasma's compared to CRT TV's?

Have you noticed your electricity bills rise?

not really noticeable but from most reports Ive read my Plasma will cost me around £60-£70 more a year to run than CRT, still worth it.

Simply put, no.

I think they run out at around 350 watts for a 42".
Probably a fiver a month, at a total guess.

There is a thread about exactly this on these forums, you just need to search, as I can't remember what it was called :smashin:

They use more power, but pretty much directly in line with the increased screen size. And contrary to popular opinion, LCDs use almost exactly the same as plasa size for size too.
