Ok first post, so be kind.

I'm looking to get a TV (looking to see what the next batch of screens with HDMI are like) Now I'm probably looking at 32" to 37" (42" just too big for my room).

I was thinking LCD, but I'm more worried about dead pixels building up over the years. Plasma supposedly are more likely to get screen burn.

Any of you who have either for a long time able to comment on which you feel is the better option. I know it's all a personel view, but some comments would be useful.

You can get dead pixels on plasmas too.

What swayed me to get a plasma was the better contrast ratio, better viewing angles, and blacker blacks, and the fact that they are impervious to insect invasion. You may not consider the last point to be very important. I do, because at the moment I am looking at a LCD PC screen that has a dead insect stuck behind the glass.
