I am in the market to buy Plasma HDTV. Can anybody guide me which one to go for? And where can I get the best value for my money?

I don't know much about LCD but with my limited search, I have formed the opinion that LCD is not in par with plasma as yet!!

You really need to expand on this , ie what size do you want,
what are you going to use it for apart from hd that is ,
do you need a stand ,
    internal tuners/freeview etc

I am thinking about 42" to 43" which has connectibility of cable box, dvd & home cinema system. I don't need stand as long as it has attached table top stand. I need tuner and integrated speakers so it could work as stand alone TV. The picture quality and the reliability is very important to me.

LCD v Plasma is VERY much a personal opinion and you will, of course, get very different answers if you post in the LCD forum.

Do a forum search for 'LCD v Plasma' and you'll find this has been discussed dozens of times.

    Hi

I have recently bought a 436xde ( £ 2200 )and love it . :D . In my opinion LCD are not that great for big screens esp viewing angle which by the way is almost 180 deg for 436xde !!!!!

There are 2 options if u wanna buy the big daddy and put it on wall go for pio 436xde . If u wanna put it on a stand and spend sensibly hitachi pd 7200 or 7500 ( £ 1411 on Dixons )
