Plasma or LCD - 50"

I guess its a no brainer question really, as 1080p plasmas are around 10k..

Would like a GOOD future proof screen that has a native resolution of 1080p and the size to be around 50" (if possible).

My budget is going to be around 1500 and would like to get a ps3 as well (to use as my 1080p player - are these any good?)

I posted on here about 18months ago, and was recommended a Panasonic TH42PWD7 as a good buy, and have had no problems whatsoever with it (just a shame its 480p resolution :( )

Any suggestions welcome :hiya:

As you said mate, you can rule plama out in that price range - most LCDs in fact. Even the cheaper ones are around 1700.

OK, what do people recommend on here and I'll have a look, might be able to stretch to 1.7k

What are PS3's like for blueray playback, or is HD the way to go

What about a 42" 1080p Panasonic plasma for £1499 ;-)
