Plasma LG RZ42PX11 + CAMBRIDGE AZUR 540 D

    GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYONE
    I'M FROM PORTUGAL SO I APOLOGISE FOR MY POOR ENGLISH !!
    I GOT A LG PLASMA IT'S THE RZ42PX11 MODEL LINKED WITH A CAMBRIDGE AZUR 540 D DVD PLAYER AND I WANT TO KNOW WITCH ARE THE BETTER SETTINGS TO LINK THE BOTH OF THEM ,BECAUSE IM QUITE DISAPOINTED BY THE IMAGE QUALITY OF MY DVD MOVIES IN THIS PLASMA TV.

    I'm guessing you are using RGB scart at present? Th PX11 has a mixed reputation re- scart connection, lots of people have difficulty hetting a good picture. Thy component, the red, blue and green phono sockets on both player and screen. You need to connect audio too if you want the speakers to work.

    Thank you for the response and yes im using rgb for the dvd and im guessing if i would have a lot better image using yuv cables ??our should i try a calibrating software like digital video essentials (dve) ??

    YUV will be better due to the weakness of the RGB, it's not intrinsically 'better'. DVE can do no harm, well worth using. I've never tried that with an LG, I have used the THX optimiser, with limited success. It did'nt seem to display enough grey shades to make it work. Pioneer MXe's do this on analogue signals too.
