Looking for a TV for an all year round conservatory.

Am I best to stick with a CRT or will an LCD or plasma screen perform OK in these bright conditions?

An LCD will give you excellent contrast in bright conditions although any screen will suffer from light and reflection. I would say that will probably not notice a great deal of difference with all 3 technologies.

I have recently purchased an LCD and it sits in my lounge with a lot of natural light and am very happy with it.

Agreed. LCD will look good in fairly high ambient light. And won't be damaged by phosphor burn.
