My GF'smate has just told me that one of the little ones has tried to clean the Plasma screen they have with a half sponge have pan scrubber. As he though it was a bit dirty. Before the kids dad gets home, she wants to know how she is covered for getting it fixed.

They have full house insurnace \ acidental damage etc, and the screen is about 3 years old, they paid good money for it in its day. Around 2k +

I am told the glass is now scratched, is it worth going via the house insurance and getting it sorted or can 3rd party companies do it ? (polish it out ?)

If it was a write off, how does that work ?

Is their policy new for old? I would think taking a hit on the insurance will be cheaper.

I would say it was a write off, if it has indeneted the screen you can't polish the glass out.

    Hey,

    1. If it can be repaired it will be repaired.

    2. Replacements are on specification only so don't be surprised if they don't offer the same brand.

    Hope it helps.

depends on the screen, some have a uv screen in front and can be replaced. but then again if its new for old then a new plasma could be nice :)
