This is an easy one to answer...

You have £1200 to spend on a 50" plasma?

Thats exactly the right amount of money for the Panasonic G10 which ive just bought and am very happy with!

Buy it - you wont regret it! Whats your viewing range and what do you plan to watch on it ?(freeview/freesat/sky/dvd/blu-ray/xbox360/ps3?)

also consider the LG 50PS8000. This has THX mode and has more picture controls than the G10, if you're that way inclined.

As above, it's an all out battle between the G10 for about £1200, and the PS8000 for about £1000. Both have their pros and cons, and both seem very good (I am yet to see the PS8000 in person), so you should have a fun time deciding!
