Plasma HDCP Sky and £3000

I want a good quality plasma that is HDTV/HDCP compatible, good SKY PQ, no speakers, desktop stand. any ideas??? Circa £3k to spend.

How about a Pioneer 43MXE1 from here:

and a Lumagen DVI from lots of places, and some spare for cables. You'll be joining me in hoping for an Aurora or Aviosys card to give the HDCP though, but i think its a good bet.

I'm new to this though, so i might be talking out my a*%".

DAVE with no HDCP and only the promise of a supporting card sems a gamble to me better to gamble on a PHD7 and scaler as PHD has HDCP no worries.

I would have thought the PHD7 and scaler would have been well over the £3000 limit, but if you can get one for the money then great.

According to what Hifi and other reviewers, there will be no support from Panasonic to accomodate HDCP on their current panels.

I got my XDE yesturday and i am over the moon with the PQ on any input!

Go any have a good play with the panels on offer, with good sources ( Try before you buy )!

NM what are you on?????? PWD7 PW7 PHD7 PHW7 and 6 series variants all suort HDCP pioneer MXE dont...Panny oanels do support HDCP on DVi for 6 and 7 series and HDMI for 7 series........

Not so much of a gamble on the MXE, there are now a small flock of competing HDCP cards allegedly coming to market, one of them must come good! 50Hz support must be worth a bit, even if not 720p. Native with a scaler has to be the way to go.
