Did you not get a warranty card with your plasma when you bought it from the manufacturer? LG want £99 for an extra 3yrs or £199 for 5yrs. I would contact the manufacturer and see what they have to offer.

I sent them my card with a cheque of £99.00, they returned my cheque with a letter saying they made a mistake on the warranty card, they were asking something like £379.00 for 2 years and over £500 for 3 years.
I just destroyed the letter, I may buy from AVSales, my plasma is still 3 weeks old. I am shopping around for a warranty.
The worrying thing is that if LG is asking that much money for their own plasma, may be they know something we dont, like the Plasma will not last?

    Regards

    - could be worse, you could have bought a Pioneer plasma in the uk!
Pioneer shafts uk customers by only offering a 1 year guarantee.
If you live in the rest of europe you get a european guarantee which is 2 years!!!!
Be careful when you look for extended warrentees - They don't all offer accidental damage!

but you can cover accidental damage on your home insurance, so it shouldnt be a problem.
