Plasma Compromise

    Could do with your advice...I want to buy my father an upgraded TV. I have a budget of max £1500 (prefer lower). Considered 36" CRT's but these dont have the wow factor. LCD's too pricey.

    I thought of DLP but dont have much experience of them & I hear that technology is still evolving yet..

    Leads me to plasmas - I am thinking of either a 37" Panny pe50 or possibly the LG 42" rx411...This does mean I dont manage to acquire HD ready TV but as I need to purchase for end of month I dont have time to wait a couple of months for the sets to be available/at right price..

    Any help much appreciated.
