    Folks,

Am looking to buy plasma TV in the next few weeks.

Essentially it is to replace a current CRT TV.

I would like it to be future proof e.g. high res but be able to handle NTL digital channels as well.

I am drawn to the Pio 435XDE but many people say that the 434 was better although I'm a tad concerned that both seem to hum a fair amount...

Have also considered the Pana Vierra but am leaning away from due the lack of high def.

Are there any good retailers in London where I could a side by side comparison?

I'd like to see what High Def looks like on a the Pio either via the Satellite or a D-VHS tape and compare analogue signals between the two sets, digital cable between the two and DVDs on RGB Scart then HDMI.

    Thanks for the advice...

BTW is is possible to record the satellite High Def images on a compatible HD recorder e.g. the new HDMI Pio coming out soon?
