I had a Hitachi 42 PD 5300 blown by electrical surge. Retailer appointed by insurers cannot replace with same model and have offered choice of Panasonic TH42 PE 50 CAB, Sony KEP 42 M1SI or Loewe Concept L42P. As I am not too technical the main difference seems to be resolution 1024 x 852 for the Hitachi and 852 x 480 for the proposed replacements. Is this a major issue in terms of picture quality? My sound system is Sony STR-DE497 which I am happy with so sound output is not so important. I can't find any reviews on the Lowe - any thoughts?
