our old telly has gone kaput and we want to install a 42inch plasma on wall
but we are very unsure what to buy,so our questions are:-
1 If we buy just a panel what else is required
2 Do we need a tuner or a/v receiver or both
3 Can we watch normal teresstial tv
4 Should we add a home cinema system
5 We do not have sky tv but would this be better for picture quality

I guess we have around £3k budget so are there any recommondations for the various components?
Thanks in advance from two old gits!

Dear old gits! :).try teh above link.....long thread but its the best place as there is no one answer to your questions. Panels have various input methods (scart, component, vga, etc, etc) if you add sky that will be your tuner unless you want terrestial too.....home cinema / surround sound is up to you but obviously much better than just a set of stereo speakers.
