    can anyone tell me the best way to link my denon 5000 to a hitachi 42"PD5200 and aslo about which cables i might want to use..please speak in numpty terms :blush:

    You sure its not a DHT-500SD?
    What connections do you have on the TV?

    yes it is a DHT-500SD.. duh!

    Rear Input Connectors S-Video x 1, Component x 2, Composite x 3, DVI x 1, Audio (RCA) x 3, 1 x D-Sub (RGB PC), Audio (Mini Jack) x 2

    Rear Output Connectors Composite x 1, Audio (RCA) x 1
