Funnily enough Currys superstore just outside Leeds has a 42" Panasonic (wall mounted) and it has been their for what seems like for-ever.

but it has a Dent on the corner and is scuffed. I asked the assistant how the dent had appeared.

'it fell off the wall he replied'

well how on earth the screen survived I dont know, but people have reported
"barely touching' their,s -- and have smashed the screens

I have had mine for about 4 months now, and am very pleased with it, just glad I got the free 5 year warranty with JL
    :D :D

    Hi
In the market for a plasma pretty soon but this mention of easy breakage is a bit worrying. If the screen breaks by heavy dusting or something similar wouldn't house/contents insurance cover it?

My house insurance covers mine, in the event of accidental damage, I dont think the Plasma's are as fragile as people make out

but when they cost upwards of 3 grand -- its not hard to get paranoid about breaking it.

I get very nervous when my daughters friends are in the house.
a bunch of 10 year old girls rampaging thru my Living room is not good for the heart

but as I said in the other post, the Plasma in Currys dropped 5ft off the wall and survived.
