I have read and seen lots of pictures of people that have there plasma's above the fire place. Is it OK to do this? Will the heat of the fire not damage the plasma in any way? Im going to get the pan v5, will it be ok over the fire?

    cheers

    ddaddy,

My plasma is indeed mounted over the fireplace. I rarely use the fire, but also the fireplace surround is quite wide and deflects much of the heat.

One suggestion I've seen is to put a candle above the fireplace. If the candle is softened by the heat then it is probably not a good idea to put the plasma there.
