Have had a few problems with recorded programs recently where the sound and picture freeze and jump. Sky recommended a Planner rebuild. I did this the night before last before I went to bed. I got in last night and the box has failed to record some kids stuff during the day and wouldnt show any channels. It just says no signal.

Did the usual off / on etc and call sky who asked me to do the samething but finally, after no improvement, said the dish must have been moved as that is the only reason the box would be showing no signal. But this is rubbish as the dish most definitely hasnt moved, and it is straight after the rebuild.

Any views ? Is the box just broken ? Sky engineer is coming out tomorrow but would like to be prepared. Any help is much appreciated.

No signal, particularly on the 2nd input, is one indication of hard disk failure...
