I have just downloaded the free 30 day trial and think the game is great - BUT... I keep getting booted due to "your computer has stopped receiving packets from the server...". This is usually after 15mins or so of play - and sometimes it even flashes up during the initiall loading of the game. I have followed most guides by having everything uptodate, disabling all other tasks running etc - Anyone have any ideas?

My System = AthlonXP @ 1900, 1gb DDR, 9800 AIW (softmodded), WinXP pro, Audigy2 and NTL Cable Broadband @600 via usb.

    Yep,

I get the same problem on PS with NTL cable connection through a USB conn. I have different system but higher cable speed(.75Mbit). Heard somewhere its the USB connector, may try using my network card to connect!.

You should always try and use a nic rather than usb cos usb sucks ass

AVMunster you are probably on the 750k as well as the 600 was upgraded some time ago.

Im on NTL and played PS for a short while over the weekend and didnt have any problems at all.Have you tried disabling your firewall completley just to ensure its not causing any problems?

One thing you should definatley do is contact NTL customer services regarding your free speed upgrade cos although it may not fix the problem, upgrading your speed to 2mb at no extra cost certainly wont do you any harm ;)
