Just got Planet earth today in the post from Amazon,wont be able to watch to later.I see on the box it says 1080i and not 1080p.

Does this mean pic wont be as good,my TV is a 42" Toshiba Regza 1080p.And can play Blu Ray discs at 24 htz out.

From doing google search nobody seems to know.

Its just an error on the box as far as i am aware.
The main presentation is 1080p, i think its just the extras are 1080i.

I think there was a similar typo on the box of wall.e

Its very impressive alright...i always found the BBC made the best nature/wildlife documentaries for tv.

The deep blue scenes are just awesome!!!!!
Nice 5.1 Dolby soundtrack aswell
