    Finally ordered all my stuff!

For the main TV room, I've ordered:

    Pioneer PDP505XDE - £3779.90 (www.digitaldirectuk.com)
    Pioneer PDK-5011 (Bracket) - £419.00 (Sevenoaks Sound & Vision)
    PDP-S25-LR (Speakers) - £244.00 (www.digitaldirectuk.com)

So, its the 50" Pioneer XDE, the tilting wall bracket and the black 'air' speakers.
I've just done a very quick sketch using Paint to illustrate the setup, don't laugh! Its only a quick sketch! :rotfl:

Now, the yellow up top is a fireplace. Its a beech wood surround, with black marble inside and a silver fire thingy.
The black bit up top, is where the Plasma is going to be hung above the fireplace. Thus, the tilting wall bracket.
Above the fireplace probably isn't the best idea, and probably not recommended, but in this room it really is the ideal, if not only, place to go.

The silver sprayed circles are the possible speaker positions. Thinking about going for the Denon 550SD. Haven't ordered it yet, but am almost certain I'm gonna go with that. UNLESS, somebody can tell me of a better all in one system?

This room is also going to have Sky+.

Is this Plasma screen going to be a mission to install, or is it do-able?

The speakers that I've bought with the Plasma screen, the Pioneer Air jobbies (http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_detail.jsp?product_id=8941&taxonomy_id=62-490), is it at all possible, to get an all in one system like the Denon 550SD, AND hook up the Plasma speakers too, and get 7.1?
Or is that just wishful thinking?

Any tips, advice, or general knowledge on this stuff would be greatly appreciated. Once the stuff has arrived, I'll take some real pics for you all.

    Well excited!
    Parm

    SKA.face, these Pioneer Speakers: http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/product_detail.jsp?product_id=8941&taxonomy_id=62-490
and go easy on my doughnuts!
They're my sofas, haven't been delivered yet, bought them from DFS about a month ago. They're supposed to be Champagne coloured.

Hornydragon, would it be worth going for 7.1 with the Plasma Speakers? Does the Denon amp support this or would I need to be another amp?
If the Denon doesn't support this, is there an all-in-one system that would?

Dayum, are the PDP-S25-LR's really that bad? They cost me an arm and a leg (£244)!.

Do you happen to know if the amp in the Denon 550SD supports 7.1? Or would I need to buy an additional amp?

    £244 for the pair

The idea was to just get a pair of normal speakers for normal viewing, then power up the all in one system when I'm watching a movie or something.

The Plasma Screen, Speakers and Wall Mount all arrived yesterday.

Better late than never lol. My curiousity got the better of me and I just had to take everything out of the boxes! The screen just looks drop dead gorgeous. :rotfl:

I had a good look at the wall bracket, and thought I'd better not. I've called Sound Academy and they're gonna survey the wall and hopefully install it in about a week.

Oh I just love a new gadget!
