    Hiya :hiya:

I have got my PJ-TX100 for about a week now and I'm a very happy camper

Only issue is that it doesn't seem to accept PAL progressive scan  .
I can feed it both PAL/NTSC over S-Video, detect/shows ok :smashin:
I can feed it both 480i/576i over component, detect/shows ok :smashin:
I can feed it 480p over component, detect/shows ok :smashin:
If I feed it a 576p over component it says 'No input detected on component!'

Can anybody in here positively confirm that the TX100 will detect, accept & show a PAL progressive (576p) signal via the component inputs?

I'm using my Denon DVD-2800 mk II to feed it with!

:lease: help me as I'm slowly going nuts about this!

Thanks guys :), it must be my DVD, then!

    edit: 2004/07/22
I have just got confirmed that my DVD-player isn't capable of playing PAL progressive scan with the current firmware version. I have ordered an upgrade from the local dealer very soon I'll be the happiest man in town :D

As for picture quality I will say very high ! Some people are complaining about a bit of VB but I see absolutely no trace of VB on my unit. With a 82" (206 cm, diagonal) screen and a a 10,2' (3,1m) viewing distance I don't notice any SDE either. The dark level is impressive but not nearly as dark as eg. the toshiba mt100 (a DLP based unit).

It is plenty bright for me. I have used it in a completely darkened room where it is almost too bright with Whisper/Iris 4 which is the lovest I can go and maintain all the dark details (lighting two candles solves this issue). Even with only light curtains and full daylight outside it is bright enough to make a viewable picture (but now we are talking Normal/Iris 10).
