I noticed that a few people were talking about the Yamaha RX-V657 AV receiver, and having just ordered one from pixmania and finding a discount voucher for £10 in the process I thought I'd share it with you lot. Someone may find it useful, it gives a delivered price of £300.70 with express delivery. Bargain!

Code is "digicam0905", though come october it'll be digicam1005, etc. Hope this helps someone save a few quid...

Just ordered the Yam 557 from them.
After hearing all the probs from people on here about service/plugs etc., were you happy with everything? Did it come with 2 pin or 3 pin plug?

    I ordered a 557 via pixmania.
It should come with a 3 pin plug, no problem.
If Pixmania have stock, you'll be fine :smashin:
But if they don't, you'll be lied too, left, right and centre
When I ordered, they never had stock, although they said they did and they dicked me about for a fortnight.

Hence I'd never use them again.

BTW, are you pleased with the 557?

For the money, yes I was mate :)

But I've now upgraded to a Denon 3803.
Nearly 4 years old, but far superior.

I'm not saying the 557 is rubbish, by any means, though.
Put it this way, I aint selling mine.
    It's going in the bedroom.
A very fine job it will do too :smashin:
And to be honest, probably wasted.
    It's a nice piece of kit .
    I'm sure you'll be happy.
