When a camcorder says it has 800,000 pixels is this the clarity of the video film or is it for the still pictures that you can take?

Also what size pixels would you recommend and is it really that important?

Generally, still image quality is measured in pixels - most of the new digital cameras now have mega-pixel technology. The video film quality is usually measured by the number of lines.
