I have installed the SDI capture card into a Dell Dimension 9100 and tried to install the drivers off the CD (the WDM one) when Windows detected new hardware. Windows starts copying the files, but when it reaches the end and is copying bt878.dll (I think) the PC just hangs and I have to do a hard reboot. I took out all the other PCI cards but still had the same problem. I then read that you don't need a driver to use Dscaler as it can access the hardware directly, so I tried installing Dscaler and selected 'Sweetspot' as the card and left the other drop down list at default. Dscaler then asked me about my hardware and sound mixing settings, and after I clicked 'OK' the PC hung again.

I tried the SDI capture card in another PC (Dell Dimension 8300) and the same thing happened. I also tried the other driver (BTwincap) which didn't work either.

Am I doing something wrong, or could there be a problem with my card?

    Dimension 9100 Specs:

    Pentium D 3.0 Dual Core
    Intel i945 Chipset
    4x 512MB DDR2 memory
    nVidia GeForce 7800GTX 256MB
    HDA Mystique 7.1 audio
    2x Hitachi 500GB SATA2
    NEC DVD+/-RW
    Sony DVD-ROM

    Thanks for any help :)
