Pitched or Flat roof - Any preference if building from scratch?

Sketches below are for proposed extension across back of my house. Can anyone comment on the benefits or difficulties of a pitched roof against a flat roof in the Home Cinema.

I quite like the idea of the extra height of a pitched ceiling, meaning surrounds can be placed slightly above head height (avoiding hot spotting) and ATMOS can be alot higher up. Should mean ATMOS effects are better and I 'think' it could help with room modes?

I also think as a space it would be more impressive.

Welcome any thoughts on issues with acoustics etc. Plans show flat roof as against pitched.

Both rooms about 4.2m wide and 3.5m long. So wide room with wide seating. 2.5m viewing distance from screen.

Either option will work very well. Having the additional height will not necessarily bring additional benefits to a well designed Atmos system compared to a regular flat ceiling. This will be down to personal preference on the look/feel of the room.

The room size will work well. If you need any advice feel free to get in touch.
