Just bought the R2 version of PIRATES, but took a closer look at the back, and even if the box is marked with the DTS logo on the side and back, the specs only says: Languages: Dolby Digital: 5.1ch, it doesn't mention any DTS 5.1 track.

Is this another HITCHER DVD rip off, or could anybody confirm that there IS a DTS track for the movie.

I haven't taken the plastic of the disc yet, just in case.

I don't think the R1 says it has DTS on the box even though it is on the disc...

...seems to be a last minute thing putting DTS on there by the looks of it.

    Regards,
    Iain.

Region 1 has it on the packagaing, but says Dolby Digital 5.1 on the actual disc only and no mention of DTS.

    Why are you worried???
If it did not have dts, just take it back to the shop for a refund(after watching  )As the packaging says dts you would have no probs getting your money back!!
    Open and enjoy:hiya:

Well I am surprised, in the two WHS near me I have never seen any new stuff in the '2 for £20' sale.

It's usually on 'selected items' only.

I'd be equally as surprised to see a blockbuster like Pirates on offer too.

    [EDIT]

Just been looking at the 'offer' om WHS web page and just as I thought...no new stuff in the offer. You can get most of 'em for well under a tenner each from play.com

Just like HMVs and Woolies 'xmas offer'....

:thumbsdow A complete waste of time.

Just been reading about this in the 'DVD Offers Forum'.
I'm surprised how inconsistent they are acrosss branches.

Surely somebody at Smith's has got it wrong somewhere.

My guess is that the new releases have been labelled up by mistake, probably by some xmas temp!
