Think the ps3 and 360 versions are identical, the 360 version will of course feature achievements if thats your thing, not sure when the game is released but wait untill a few reviews start appearing on game sites, there will no doubt be some reviews comparing the 2 versions.

The previews I've read have made the game seem really bad. You're prob better off getting neither version. I didnt hear of any differences between the versions.

I believe the only difference is that 360 has achievements and PS3 uses sixaxis motion control for some actions (balancing when walking on things like planks i think).

Both are 1080p and have same levels AFAIK.

I think i'll be getting the PS3 version just cos i have got bored of achievements and so the sixaxis option offers me a "potential" feature.

Rumble and achievements vs motion control. It's your call.

Or... Save your money and get a decent game instead. ;)

Having seen the trailers (Which supposedly show off the best bits), I'm not impressed in the slightest... Looks like a poor cash in of an overblown franchise..

Speaking of which, has anyone heard anything about the "Lost" game? ;) :p

Well we've heard that before but the 360 versions invariably turn out to have better framerates, shorter loading times etc...

Hopefully that will change for this game.

Actually thought it looked like it could be good aswell, just was'nt quite sure if it's another generic hack n slash game or if there's actually more to it.

I liked the 360 demo so im going for the 360 game as id prefer the points and rumble ...though id liked the sixaxis idea.

Btw don't know if been mentioned but its on the Asda website for only £32 on Ps3 or 360 :smashin:

If i get it and both versions are the same ill get the PS3 version. Mainly because id like the six axis feature. Rumble is very 20th century and achievements are nothing to me.

the demo on 360 was cool... looked like the unreal engine to me with water effects looking just like gow, looks like a fun title if you can get it for £30

as for which is best gametrailers now have a section for vs so wait for a comparison there, but i do think that we sould support the ps3, any cross platform game il be buying on the ps3, with rumble on the way, achievements seem old hat to me now,it doesent make me a better gamer for having thease things...all though the trophy room on HOME seems like a nice idea

I finally had a chance to play the 360 demo today. I must say it's seems like a fun game. I was quite surprised that it was a decent game. The demo was very easy though especially as it was a tutorial but the gameplay mechanics seemed pretty good and the graphics were quite impressive too.

The main character was a pretty good likeness and sounded just like Johnny Depp. I don't know for sure but it sounded like the actors from the movies did the voice acting. I'm not sure if I would pay full price for it but at the right price it might be worth getting.

Believe it was actually impersonators doing the voices, Johnny Depp does sound very authentic, but the guy doing Orlando Bloom? could of done with a bit more work :D

Yes Orlando Bloom wasn't quite right come to think of it but Johnny Depp was pretty close.

Actually thought the guy who did boot strap bill was bang on as well actually checked imdb to see if it was him, kinda dreading to hear kiera knightley though :D think its a pity they couldnt get the original actors to do the voices, i mean johnny depp did the voice for the legend of jack sparrow on the ps2, wonder what the reason was as i'm sure the developers would of tried to get the casts co-operation

Monkeyspoon, since when is rumble so 20th century? Rumble is great, adds more to the game. You just can't stop slagging off and moaning about anything Xbox.

Am getting 360 version for achievements and rumble.

    Graphically there is no difference.

    PS I do own a PS3.

Well rumble has been around since the N64 and PS days. It wasnt meant as an anti xbox comment. Its just it rather have something new and sixaxis offers it where rumble is something ive had for years and I find acheivements pointless.

Oh dear :( from the review at ign.com

"As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion."

Full review here http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/790/790866p1.html pity as i enjoyed the demo and wanted something new for the ps3 :(
