I have the Hitcahi 42PMA400 and Phil Hale of UVEM (see the forum under Tech Talk) came over to compare the inputs from his PC.
One was the VGA output to RGB1 and the other was the component output of a Sigma-X (DVD hardware decoding card) into RGB2 set to component.
The difference between the 2 was very little with the Sigma card being slightly softer (not neccessarily a bad thing).

We ideally wanted to use the Picture-In-Picture function to put both pictures side by side for the best comparison.
Unfortunately the options with regard to which inputs you can use PiP with are very limited and this puzzled me.
Also the manual was less than informative with regard to how the PiP works.

Anyone else hit this shortcoming?

I've found on most plasmas that you can only show multi inputs that are running t the safe requency. This usually means interlaced video inputs only.
