    Hi all,
I`m thinking of buying the Pioneer VSXD512S from empiredirect as they have it on offer at the moment at £139.99, which seems like a bargain to me, but I haven`t been able to find out that much about it. Does anybody have one, or anybody have any ideas for an amp around the same price or up to £200 ?

    Many Thanks in advance

    Nathan

Thanks for your reply, are you saying then that I should go for the Denon instead of the Pioneer?

    Any other ideas?

    Nathan

No, not at all. Just answering your question when you asked if there were any others in a similar price range to consider. Another amp in your price bracket would be a Yamaha RX-V430 or a Sony STRDB790. The Sony is slightly over budget at around £229.

Many thanks again for your quick reply, I have decided to take advantage of the interest free credit, and go fro the STRDB790 from Sony, as this seems to have all I want and more, and gets good reviews..... Unless of course any of you have a better idea?

I also thought about the Onkyo TXSR501 but it appears to be that bit more expensive.

    Many Thanks

    Nathan
