    hello all

i have decided to treat myself to an early birthday present and get an AV amp/receiver. Not currently having one, i have done a bit of reading and picked a couple i like (see below)
Anyone got any input or advise? I have a yamaha stereo which I love and they are supposed to be renown for making excellent amps, but something keeps drawing me to the Pioneer. I have also been to Superfi and had a listen to the Yamaha and it sounds great. The guy in the shop also said I should go for that one, but his recommendation seemed to be based on the fact its currently over half price (i.e. getting £600 worth of kit for £250). They are similar spec'ed, are both 7.1, 700w output and have the same number of optical and coax inputs.
