I have done a search in the forums and have narrowed my choice to either the Pioneer 912 or Yamaha 740.

Both are roughly around £400 with similar spec but was wondering if anyone could comment on functionality, performance and problems if any.

    Thanx!

The Pioneer seems to carry every feature you could reasonably expect a sub £1000 amp to have. The Yamaha is less well specced (no MACC, 24/96) but is better built and has the trademark Yamaha sound that many prefer- by comparison the Pioneers of the last year or two are rather bright. What speakers are you connecting to these beasties?
