Looking at a new receiver in the £300 price range, used for music and movies. Narrowed it down between the Pioneer D812 and SR5400, but which is the best?

Was really going for the Marantz but all this talk of audio dropout has put me off it somewhat, is it really that much of a problem? Should I just stick with the Pioneer for reliablity?

    Thanks

If you think you may have a problem with the Marantz, get some kind of extended cover on it...thats is the Marantz is worth the extra cover money...?
    I have had a SR4300 and then got a D-812.
The 812 is definatly alot better except it seems, in stereo.
However a more "advanced" Marantz I would expect, may be different.

Someone with a SR5400 could shed some light on the matter...
