For the proud owners of VSX-D2011....Is your receiver made in Indonesia? I'm a bit disappointed when a got my receiver after 4 weeks of waiting. I thought I could have something to be proud of. I was expecting UK made but for the price of £664 + free delivery I think should be ok.

    Would you think??

If it was made in the UK add 50%-100% ontop of the retail price.

What do you expect? It's a mass-market AV amp.

Why would you expect your Japanese amplifier to be made in UK. Even the majority of British hifi equipment isn't made here.

Pioneer are a japanese company i wouldnt expect them to make there kit in the Uk. Just look at equipment from people like Arcam etc all very pricey. So i wouldnt worry too much.. you got a great piece of kit for a good price.

I had a chat with a Rtoel guy at a show who pointed out that their gear was more British than some UK manufacturers since many of the key components are uk sourced.

As has been pointed out though why would a Japanese manufacturer build in the UK when you can pay peanuts in the far east?

I never even checked where it was made, doesn't really matter if it's a quality bit of kit!
