I'm looking to buy the C100 (or maybe a Sony HTSL5 a/v amp).
To those that have either of these slim Pioneer a/v amps:
Does the cooling fan only come on when the unit gets too hot or is it always on?
Do you find that the noise of the cooling fan is intrusive?
Anybody find the amp is underpowered for their needs?

    cheers,

    John

Fan only comes on when hot, its fairly loud. However mine is poorly ventilated.
I find the c100 is plenty loud enough for me, but the room is fairly small - sit about 2 m from set.
