To anybody out there with a Pioneer VSX C100 (or probably a VSX C300) receiver.

I'm having problems entering the manufacturers codes to allow me to control the TV and VCR using the receiver's remote.

To change the code for TV control it says:
    1. Press TV Control Power On key whilst pressing the ENTER key, the LED should light (I assume it means it should light and stay lit?)
    2. Enter the three digit code upon which the LED light goes off.

When I try to change the code so that the remote will control my Sony TV the LED does not stay lit at step 1. and so the remote does not end up working for the TV after step 2.
Same applies to any attempt to set the code for a JVC VCR.

    Any ideas?
Anybody managed to do this successfully?

    cheers for any help/suggestions,

    John
