I have been looking at AV Receivers and I see there are some deals on these models now they are approaching their replacement date. I just wanted to know if anyone owns or has any experience of the 918 or 818 since they seem similar. I know the 918 has HDMI audio but the 818 lacks this feature.
I own a bit of Pioneer Hifi and such so I was interested in their AV equipment however I have heard they can be very 'bright' or difficult to listen to at times. I notice both these receivers seem quite powerful also (130 watts I think?). Any opinions on the sound and sound quality for both films and music would be much appreciated.
