just got my pioneer vsx amp from techtronics had to drive 68 miles to pick it up though but thats a different story first impressions are wow since upgrading from a sherwood 6103 amp build quality is spot on havent listened to any thing yet will watch something tomorrow. But if the mcacc auto set-up is anything to go by were in for a treat

So how's it going. I ask because I've pretty much decided on this one.

Is the aluminium front panel and auto set up really worth it over the cheaper '812? I'm in the market for a new receiver, and I noticed that the Pioneer has pre-outputs, which is a must for me I've decided, as I listen to loads of stereo music.

I must say I'm tempted, although I'm not sure if I should save up some more to buy the Denon 2803. Although I could buy the Pioneer and a decent stereo amp for the same price really.
