Pioneer VSX-521k Receiver - Audio Pass Through

Standard Member
Ok, so I just got my new receiver and my speakers aren't here yet. So in my excitement I hooked up my new receiver and now I have no Audio.

I got a Samsung 56" DLP, HDMI going from my Verizon FiOS Motorola 7232 DVR to the HDMI-1 on the receiver, then have the receiver's HDMI going to the TV. I get a picture, but no sound.

I've swapped cables and pushed every button on this remote and still I get's no love. Also, the Menu for the receiver does not come up on screen which I think it's supposed to right?

HELP! Never had a receiver before so I've got no clue what the hell I'm doing.

I got it working... I Had to change a setting under Audio Parameters from 'HDMI AMP' to 'HDMI THRU' and bingo bango! SOUND!!! Yay Manual's troubleshooting section!!!

To cover in case anyone is having this problem
Press the Audio Parameter button (Looks like an x) then scroll up until you see 'HDMI AMP' and hit over to the left or right so it shows 'HDMI THRU' the HDMI will redo the handshake and BAM you should have sound.
