Hi there, I recently bought the above amplifier and in order to hear a radio station using the tuner I need to go up to -40db.
In addition, in order to hear a Dolby Digital movie I need to go up to -25db. Is this nornal?

    Good hearing!

I have the 1014 and 0 is the volume you would get in the cinema. I need to go -10dB for DD to geel it "right".

I am using digital input i.e. optical just for the sound. The video goes directly to the TV.
No analogue connection exists between the receiver and the DVD.
