Does anyone know anything about this new model? It seems to be quite hard to find out much about it and I thought it was suppoesed to be due out anytime now? I particularly want to know where it fits into the range and its dimensions as the little bit I have seen suggest it is more like an improvement on the 912, rather than a new version of the AX3 (remembering that the AX3 replaced the 1011).

I thought it was supposed to be August and I've been quoted various 'dates' from early August to Late September!

Is that a DAB digital tuner?

Techtronics have it listed for £459.99 here

Is this the replacement for the AX3?

Techtronics told me late September and that it was the replacement for the AX3, but that they had no other details

The prices look very keen, almost half the list price of their replacements.

Things I've managed to find about the VSX-1014 are a Hi Res Photo from here and the manual in Italian, French & Dutch no English version that I've managed to find yet.

After looking at these specs I do not believe that the 1014 is a replacement for the AX3. One of the most important aspects of the amp - the digital engine - is half as powerful on the 1014 compared with the AX3. The digital engine in the 1014 consists of 1 x motorola 48 bit processor the AX3 has 2 of these processors.

The 1014 appears to be bridging the previously large gap between the AX3 and the 914. I am still holding out for 2014 as a replacement for the AX3.

I was a bit confused they were releasing the 2014i and the AX5ai. I wonder when we'll see HDMI switching?

There's a review of the 2014i in one of the home cinema mags this month, can't remember which though.
